Description: For sale is an incredible example of the Iconic New Zealand-made Swanndri Bush Shirt. Swanndri no longer makes these amazingly warm bush shirts in NZ so this is your chance to own a piece of the country’s history. This example is in the most well known color for the brand, the red plaid. This 100% wool pullover bush shirt is in outstanding condition. I have owned dozens of these bush shirts and not all of them are created equal. The wool on this one is thick, fluffy, lofty and warm. It’s got so much life left in it! Marked size is XOS which in the US means large. Fits true to size. The jacket is easy to pull on and take off as the body is quite roomy. It’s meant to be that way to accommodate multiple layers underneath it. The chest pocket on this model has been removed, so the jacket has no pockets. Originally this bothered me but after wearing other models with pockets I came to appreciate the way the garment drapes without any pockets getting in the way. A truly functional piece of camping or hunting gear. As you can see in the photos, I’ve replaced the three most important buttons (the cuff buttons and the neck closure button) with thick sturdy buttons that are much more secure than the cheap tiny buttons that came on it. You’ll never have to worry about popping one of these upgraded ones. The hood is cut close to the head and has a drawstring closure on it to tighten it up. Any questions at all just ask.
