The unique warm tone and colorful pattern are very unique!Splash/GeometricHave you ever heard of a musical instrument called a "keyboard recorder"?This instrument has a body similar to a slightly larger keyboard harmonica, and instead of reeds, it has a sound-producing section similar to that of a recorder. When it was released in 1985, it was not very popular and faded out soon after.However, in recent years, its popularity has resurfaced due to its use by the Kuri Corder Quartet, and there have been requests from all quarters for it to be reproduced, so in 2007, the decision was finally made to reproduce it!■Differences from the previous model The Andes 25F is a reproduction of the same model that was previously produced, but some specifications have been changed for the re-production.In terms of mechanism, the valve opening and closing mechanism connected to the keyboard has been improved, and the keys are now sounded at a shallower position than in the previous model. This allows playing with a lighter touch. In addition, the exterior has been changed from a dull beige molding color to a light green (also dull, but a bit pop), and the white keys, which were pure white in the previous model, are now a nostalgic ivory color.■Tone color The sound-producing mechanism is a "flute" similar to that of a recorder, so the tone is overwhelmingly "gentle" compared to the keyboard harmonica. The range is close to that of a soprano recorder, so it can be considered an instrument for solo playing rather than accompaniment (range: F2-F4). However, it is attractive that you can play recorder ensemble-like harmonies by yourself. However, like the recorder, the volume is low, so care must be taken when playing in an ensemble with other instruments.Our staff actually tried playing it, and it's a very profound instrument. The pitch changes depending on the strength of your breath, and if you blow too hard the sound will go over, making it unstable - just like a recorder. On the other hand, if you can master these characteristics, you can play very expressively. When you play a single note, it certainly sounds like a recorder, but when you play chords, it somehow sounds like a steam organ.
