Description: What a find! This Kinkozan Satsuma vase has great color and art deco flair - floral and geometric shapes but when you turn to the opposite side, there are a pair of women who anachronistically appear to have big natural hairstyles and are connected by what looks like earphone wires! So intriguing. Currently, a Japanese art gallery in New York has a duplicate of this vase with a price tag of $1600. Measures almost 9 inches tall. Excellent condition - vibrant colors - no chips or repairs. A small non structural hairline on the interior. The Kinkozan family have been associated with pottery since 1645. They went on to become the largest producer of Satsuma ware, from the end of the 19th century until 1927 after which the factory closed.
