Description: Spine of cover was reinforced using archival-quality materials (no tape or glue). Chipping/staining to cover, surface tear to front cover. Staples appear to have been replaced in the past. Conservation, limited only to what was necessary to preserve the book, was performed by me (check out my work on Instagram at cbrescue1). I use only professional materials and methods, such as leaf-casting, Japanese paper and dry-cleaning. Look closely at pics and message me with any questions. NOTE: This is NOT a restoration -- no color touch, trimming, reglossing or other cosmetic enhancements. Conservation is recognized by CGC and CBCS as its own category focused on preserving the physical integrity of comic books, and conserved specimens generally command better market value than comparable ones with restoration. Of course, this is not a guarantee of a certain grade or value if you were to slab or sell the book; CGC has become VERY inconsistent in making distinctions between restored and conserved.
