Description: Species: Native Copper Locality: Rocklands mine, Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia Dimensions: 7.1 x 4 x 1.8 cm. Weight: 96 grams This is a great Australian copper from the Rocklands mine in Cloncurry, Queensland. This fine specimen is composed of a network of sharp spinel-twinned crystals surrounded by smaller, more equant dodecahedral copper crystals, creating a great aesthetic effect. Has a wonderful patina as seen and can be displayed from multiple angles. Really in the upper few % for quality of all the many tons of native copper discovered at the Rocklands mine from ~2012 to the mineโs closure in 2017. Very good for a Rocklands mine copper! This specimen was also on our Christmas card last year, with it's "Christmas tree" kind of architecture. :) Showroom 2
