Description: Maker and age: On the base of this beautiful blue and white Wedgwood jasper ware teapot are the word WEDGWOOD and the phrase MADE IN ENGLAND, along with a number of other impressed marks. The impressed number 57 indicates that the teapot was produced in 1957. Design: The teapot is part of the pattern called Cream on Lavender Jasper Ware. It's in Wedgwood's iconic pale blue - technically called lavender - with a raised white decoration of classical figures. It is glazed inside. Size: The teapot is 4 inches wide at the top, 3 3/8 inches tall at the tip of the spout and about 5 inches tall with the lid in place. It holds about 4 cups and weighs 2 pounds 2 ounces. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, crazing, repairs or wear. Although the teapot has been lightly washed, it would benefit from a more thorough cleaning. Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
