Super Slick is an Epoxy Coating unlike other competitor coatings. Super Slick surface contains Teflon plus additional friction reducing additive. Same Steelflex toughness and durability proven on airboats since 1961. Long life--Stays slippery as long as Superslick is on the boat Can be rolled, brushed, or poured and spread. Application and dry time same as regular Steelflex. Coverage: About 30 sq. ft. per quart Go to our pigment page to customize the color of your super slick 2000 4oz of pigment per gallon Add pigment to part 2 COVERAGE Approximately 120 sq. ft. per gallon, and 30 sq. ft. per quart. PREPARATION The best preparation is to sandblast the airboat and then grind the metal surface with a 24-grit disc. Make the surface as rough as possible and wipe it clean with lacquer thinner or acetone. For fiberglass, the rougher the better. Do not over rough the fiberglass or you may go too deep causing holes. Use your best judgment. Blow off fiberglass and if possible, wipe it down with acetone. MIXING 1. Mix equal parts of #1 and #2 Steelflex 9X-2000. Thoroughly mix down from the sides and bottom of the container. Electric drill mixing does not mix the two parts together as well as hand mixing. "IT IS NOT HOW FAST YOU MIX BUT HOW THOROUGHLY YOU MIX IT". Mixing is the most important part of the application. NOTE: IF USING A COLOR, REFER TO THE LAST PARAGRAPH BELOW. APPLICATION Immediately pour out the mixture over the entire bottom of the surface and spread evenly. DO NOT USE BELOW 65°F. DRY AND CURE TIME DRY: Approximately 6 hours. CURE: 48 hours. COLORS 9X-2000 Neutral is formulated to add one of our standard #109 pigment colors. They are: black, grey, brown (reddish), beige, light blue, royal blue, emerald green, olive drab, yellow, red, orange, midnight blue One quart requires 1 ounce of pigment and one gallon requires 4 ounces of pigment. Add the pigment to Part 2 to insure that the color will be the same every time. Be sure to mix the pigment in well and then mix Part 1 and Part 2 together.
