Description: This is for an original 1969 N.B.A.P. Member card of 1959’s first pick in the NBA draft, forward Bob Boozer. The jury is still out on where the cards came from as there is proof that many were cut off of a basketball box while others are rumored to be cut off of Converse sneaker shoe boxes. Either way they are super rare. Since the cards show no NBA logos or even uniform numbers it is believed that they are an unsanctioned issue. There are only 20 cards in the set and are so rare that even terribly cut and heavily creased cards command premiums. This one hasn’t been graded but could be the top graded example if you chose to send it to PSA or SGC. SGC has never graded even one example of this card while PSA has graded two with 1 receiving an authentic grade and one receiving a PSA 1. The card does have some light white marks on the front, but the rarity of this gem makes any collector overlook the light flaw. This blank backed beauty should easily surpass a PSA 1. These cards are so super tough that PSA has only graded 56 authentic, 3 PSA 1, 6 PSA 1.5, 4 PSA 2, 3 PSA 3 and a lone PSA 4 example in the entire set. SGC has only graded 16 of the 20 card set and not a single card of Bob Boozer. A must have for the advanced basketball collector. Check out the scans and email with any questions.
