Description: This is such a rare and interesting hair comb. It is a real gypsy comb. I have not come across real gypsy jewelry in a long while so I was delighted and very excited to find this. The crescent is crafted from solid 14K gold. The comb itself is sterling silver. The kidney shaped top is adorned with the cutest little puffy hearts with a turquoise or a garnet at the top of each. Then a super cute chain is attached at the top of each heart with an old skeleton key that dangles over the hearts. This was probably a piece worn for a wedding. There are ruby paste stones in belchers settings as well as a yellow paste sapphire in the very center mounted in the same manner. The applied wire work on this hair comb is very precise and well crafted. The comb itself is crafted from sterling silver and is hinged for an array of different placements in the hair. Again the crescent portion the from is solid 14K rose and yellow gold. This is such a unique and rare piece. It is presented in damage and repair free condition, simply signs of minimal use.
