Description: Super Mandarin Garnet Power Ring Portuguese Round Cut Mandarin Garnet Huge 9.44 Carats Stone Dimensions 11.03 mm x 8.92 mm 18K White Gold Bezel Mount USA Size 10 I bought this outstanding ring in 2004 from Gem Shopping Network. I picked out the stone myself and had GSN bezel set in an 18K White Gold "Frank" mount. The stone is fantastic and very rare considering it's size, cut, clarity and deep Orange saturation. The attached copy of the appraisal states that the clarity of the stone is "LI" which stands for Lightly Included. The small inclusions can only be seen under magnification. It was masterfully cut by 'Sean' who specializes in Portuguese Round cuts in particular. The stone has over 160 facets which is what makes it like an orange torch when exposed to any bright light. The report notes "80% - 90% Brilliance" and calls it "good" but that is an understatement. So is the "good" Cut Symmetry and the "good" Finish. This was a very conservative appraisal. It is hard to get good pics of gemstones but I do my best and can always send more. I must apologize for my 'yard' hands in the pics (I have a 9 acre yard) but I do like to hold the ring as much as I can to make the viewing experience personal. The mount itself is made of 18K white gold with a masculine type motif of raised diagonal accents set against the hammered texture finish. Very simple and attractive. This is a super, power ring that really stands out and gets noticed. The ring is very well made and very comfortable to wear. I have a nearly identical ring that I also had made by GSN for myself.
