Super Cute Nursery Plastics IRMI lamp - Mary Had A Little Lamb with shade

I had a lamp in my bedroom just like this in the 1960s! This lamp is made of wood and it works. The electrical part was replaced but for safety sake, I will not include a bulb. Original shades did not survive the test of time, so I replaced it with a darling matching pink and white shade. This lamp is in overall very good cosmetic condition, but the paint does show some signs of age, as seen in the pictures. The lamp is in excellent working condition and stands about 16 inches tall, including the shade. The base of the lamp is about 5” wide. This lamp was made by Nursery Plastics, makers of wooden nursery items with an adorable German Erzebirge sensibility. The lamp has what looks like a Nursery Plastics brand on the bottom. People often refer to this style as "German Erzebirge sensibility" which is in reference to the Erzgebirge region in Germany where children's folk art toys have been made for hundreds of years. The style of the wooden toys produced there is very distinctive and the Irmi lamps, while made in America, are still an excellent example of this.
