A small step-down is designed into the end of an otherwise standard cassette body and this allows the smaller 10t cog to fit. The cassette is constructed in the same way as the other lightweight cassettes in SunRace’s range – two lightweight alloy carriers with cogs attached. The 10t and 12t cogs are machined out of a single piece of high tensile steel. Because the cassette and cassette body are based on existing designs the manufacturing cost is lower.
