Description: Sun-Rise started as a beverage line, in 1910, produced by the Tazewell Manufacturing Co. of West Tazewell, Virginia. It was a line of fruit flavors as well as a Root Beer. In 1922, the name of the company was called Was-Cott, their biggest seller being ginger ale. In 1931, the name changed to Sun Rise Bottling Co. In 1956, Sun Rise sold and moved to Marshall, Minnesota. With the help of the Coca Cola Bottling Co., the brand went national. The Sun Rise Company sold soda into the 1970's. On the face of this bottle, it reads, "Sun-Rise Beverages Bottled Under the Authority of Sun-Rise Inc." On the backside, it states, "Sun-Rise Buy with Confidence, Drink with Pleasure Min. Contents 10 FL. OZS. Property of Coca Cola Bottling Co.". This bottle is nice looking with bright, clean graphics. The graphics are perfect. The crown cap is brilliant. The other empty bottle is also from Sun-Rise Beverages. It is a nice embossed art deco bottle. It features the same sun coming up over the mountain, on both sides. However, this bottle has a crack on the bottom edge, as shown. The full bottle is dated 1966, and the empty one from the mid 70's. Shipping for this nice, old pair of bottles will be only $9.00 anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day mail. If you like, and purchase more of my many bottles, I will ship them FREE with this pair.
