Description: 60-70s vintage pair of STYLMARTIN Italian leather racing boots. True leather, brass plates under the tips, zipper on the sides. In origin they were black & red - some areas were in red - but I painted them in black because I dislike the red color (expecially when it comes to boots or shoes). The ink that I used to paint that red is a bit faded away so the red starting popping out again. In origin there were round plastic Styilmartin's logos - one per each boots - sewn onto those round housings on the front shin pad tops. Those shin pads or shin protectors are litterally falling apart! Thy are made in hard rubber which got broken - several cracks too - because of that rubber got totally dried over time; Those pad rubber shin protectors - which were black in origin but then turned into gray with a sort of opaque coating patina over decades - have got super-fragile; right while I'm shooting those, have started to fall apart like a super fragile clay and crumbled-up. those were old pix. Now those crumbled-up protectors have been totally removed off as you can notice by the new pictures; the last ones).Boots are tall about 34 centimeters or 13-1/4" and weight (both) about 1.5 kilograms or 3.30 lbsThe outer soles measure 12 inches or about 30.5 centimetrs. Italian size is 46 which by according to this chart it would correspond to an American 11 size, but not quote me since other charts might say 11.5 or 10.5 don't know; it's up to you get to figure out what US size does correspond to an Europe 46.
