The center shading with faint sun and gold highlights gives the effect of fog. Delicate pink and aqua irises, flower buds, bird's heads are hand painted enamel. Rim has gold and black edge with rust and blue floral medallions. I could not identify the bottom mark. These Mt Fuji marks were frequently associated with exporters during the 1950's - 60"s. Very good estate condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or noticeable scratches. There are lots of lines in the gold "clouds" that look intentional. You can see some light wear to grass in the center. These plates may have been used as dinnerware, but are stunning display pieces!
