Description: This wonderful fully decorated 10” tall antique Japanese Cloisonné vase, depicting blooming wisteria in a continuous wrap around design, is a beautiful piece of art from the Meiji era bearing the mark of Ota Hyozo. The condition is good with one small very smooth seamless patch on the upper shoulder that I show in the last two pictures. It’s one of the nicest patches I’ve seen, being very well matched to color, is super smooth, and most importantly, light transitions across is to the original surface beautifully. It’s only the size of a nickel and you can’t really see or find it unless you know it’s there and look carefully for it. Other than that the piece is mint and really stands out. This artists work is seldom available, as it is generally of the highest order. This piece is no exception. This particular artist won many awards and in my opinion, is one of the most underrated artists of the period. Polish is beautiful and the artist was well in control of the surface. No pitting or bubble pops. Beautifully fired and polished. Just an amazing work of art. This item is a perfect addition to any collection of Asian antiques, especially for those who appreciate the art and history of Japan. Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique and exquisite piece of history.
