Description: A beautiful rare antique solid silver Indian jug. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1890-1910. It has been beautifully hand made being embossed and chased with animals and the the handle has being cast in the form of a snake. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11.4cm) across handle to lip and 2.25 inches (5.6cm) across the rim by 3.75 inches (9.5cm) tall to the top of the snakes head and weighs 164 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example. Also on Selling Antiques. If you have any queries etc... please contact us.
