The intaglios are skillfully carved and nicely detailed, done in attractive sea-green glass set over mother of pearl, which shines through the glass and makes an appealing shadow effect with the carved scene. The intaglio measures about 13.25 by 10.5 millimeters, while the gemstone cabochons measure about 4 millimeters in diameter. The settings are done in a striking archaistic hand hammered finish, and are quite solid and heavy weight, all 18 karat gold. The earrings have clip style backs with retractable posts, suitable for wear with pierced or unpierced ears. This pair of earrings is in excellent condition. The intaglios and labradorite cabochons are well set, with no chips. The clip backs have good strong spring mechanisms. There are no breaks, and no repairs.
