Stunning and Massive Multi-Colored 2001 Buzz Blodgett Art Glass Vase

Description: Absolutely stunning Buzz Blodgett vase, signed, numbered and dated 2001. Measures 13.5" tall, approx 10" wide at largest point. Please see photos for details. It is in excellent condition with no chips. There are a couple of bubbles within it and a small line on the inside which probably happened while blowing, which I have shown in last pic. More on Buzz Blodgett.... Buzz Blodgett, the man behind Blodgett Glass has been blowing glass since 1969, coming from a family of artists it's only natural that he became one himself. The family glassblowing studio is alive and well flourishing in the small coastal beach community of Leucadia along the southern California coast of Encinitas. In 1978 an important Swedish influence was discovered. Buzz learned many new techniques from the Swedish glassblower and currently uses them in many of his glass creations. He says, “I was always impressed with the frozen liquidity of glass, which seemed to mesh with my love for the ocean and surfing.” In 1987 he took over the operation of Blodgett Glass preceded by his father. He has had exhibitions at the Corning Museum and has exhibited his glass in galleries in Seattle, California and New York since 1975. All his glass is handmade using the same methods utilized since ancient times and it is signed and dated.
