Description: Stuart Alan Faux Suede Belted Shirt Dress Vintage Sueded Poly Size 16 (M/L 8/10). This is a near perfect vintage shirt dress from Stuart Alan in a cool camel colored sueded poly. The texture of the poly fabric looks like suede and has a soft brushed feel to it. Matching belt included. Built in shoulder pads, cuffed sleeve with button details, buttons down the front and elastic at waist. This is a vintage size 16 which I would equate to a modern day US women’s 8/10 or medium/large. Skirt is a-line and fits at or below knee. I am 5’10” and a women’s size s/m 4/6 and tried this style on - I loved the length but felt it was more of a m/l in overall fit. Pleated at shoulder and cuffed sleeve hits at the elbow. One belt loop thread has come off on one side, but, fun fact: those fabric threaded belt loops are meant to be cut off! They’re simply used by manufacturers to help keep items together in shipping and in store but they are meant to be cut off. So leave them or snip them! The dress looks practically new and was well taken care of / not worn much! There is one piece of elastic I took a photo of on the interior around the waist - it is not coming out of the waist but is just extra that never got snipped off - the dress itself is in great shape and I don’t see any rips, tears, stains or defects. Belt is removable and has a backing on it that is stamped “16” for the size. The belt looks like how it was stored created a few lines in the back of the belt but not noticeable in the fabric front. Made in USA, estimated to be from the late 70’s or 1980’s. Would look absolutely fabulous with slouchy boots. Message with questions and for exact measurements!
