Description: Stromberg–Carlson model 1543 Telephone in the rare color of Canary Yellow! This Telephone is super clean and in great shape for its age. It has the diamond point handset. There are a couple of tiny cracks in the housing but they do not affect its operation. The cracks are in the area of the cradle, and on the piece that goes in between the hook switch, both circled in the photos. Because of these tiny cracks the housing is not perfect, but they are not even noticeable from the front of the phone. The phone has been fitted with a new matching color handset cord and a nice long line cord and has the four prong plug on the end of the cord (see all pics). It is fitted with a straight-line ringer, not a party line ringer. The dial turns smoothly. This phone was working when it recently came out of service, but I have no landline service any longer to recheck it, so being sold as is with no warranty. The phone is very heavy and will be packaged well for shipping. From a smoke free, pet free home.
