Description: This is the Original (1sh) 1940 Title Lobby Card STRANGER ON THE THIRD FLOOR. It was used by RKO to promote this movie at theatres and movie houses in 1940. This 1940 Title Lobby Card is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Peter Lorre, John McGuire, Margaret Tallchet, Charles Waldron, Elisha Cook, Jr., and Charles Halton. It was directed by Boris Ingster. This unrestored movie Title Lobby Card measures 11" x 14". It comes with an unattached stiff cardboard backing. This original Title Lobby Card is graded C8, Very Fine. Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. This Title Lobby Card has a very presentable appearance and can immediately be framed and presented for display with excellent results. The 4 pin holes described above are either along the top border (2) or in the image area and are not readily apparent at a normal viewing distance. The 2 pin holes that are in the image area are generally the only issues that prevent this Title Lobby card from being graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Thus, one could say it is a very "high" or strong C8! Restoration of this Title Lobby Card would alleviate the pin holes and the tiny chip that occur on the Title Lobby Card. If you are interested in this Title Lobby Card and would like to possibly have it restored, we can do that for you and just add the cost of restoration to the price of the Card. Or we can just refer you to one of the professional restoration companies that we use, whose prices are very reasonable and their results are incredible.
