Description: Stovepipe heat exchanger / radiator bands extract heat from the hot stove pipe and radiate the heat into the room. Installed, they make close contact with your stove pipe and conduct more usable heat from the hot pipe to be released into the room. They, in effect, increase the surface area of your stovepipe between the stove and the chimney, therefore allowing more heat to be radiated and released into the room. They work just like the fins on a motorcycle engine, they increase the area of heat dissipation..They attach quickly and easily to your stovepipe....no screws or tools needed. The ends lock into each other. It takes about 5 minutes to attach six bands, 10 minutes for twelve bands. The bands conduct heat from the points of contact on the stovepipe to the loops in the band where the heat is released into the room. The band loops get nearly as hot as the stovepipe...too hot to touch. Made of 28 gauge high thermal conductivity aluminum, 1 ½" wide. Will work with any heat source. Installed close together, one set of 6 radiators will cover 9 inches of pipe and one set of 12 radiators will cover 18 inches of pipe.The heat exchanger bands may be placed close together (no space between) to allow more bands and more heat extraction. But make sure to offset the loops to allow air circulation in the loops. Do not guess at your diameter...it is impossible to measure the diameter of an installed pipe. ORDER BY CIRCUMFERENCE....see below. Sizes available: 3", 3.6" (typically double wall 3" pellet stove), 4", 5", 6", 7", and 8" diameter.FREE HEAT...How much heat? Here is an example for a 6" dia. set. Each 6” diameter radiator has 10 loops that are 2” x 1.5”…that is 30 square inches of sheet metal. 6 x 30 sq/in = 180 square inches of sheet metal. That is equivalent to a 12" x 15” sheet of metal. So in effect, by installing a set of 6 bands, you create the equivalent of this 12" x 15” sheet of hot sheet metal, 300 - 500 degrees, radiating heat from both sides of the sheet into the room before it escapes out the chimney. That is like a small space heater itself...and it is FREE HEAT. They will last a lifetime. They never need maintenance. They may be re-used if you replace the old stovepipe. They are guaranteed to draw more heat from the stovepipe.They pay for themselves in a short period of time. You may put on as many bands as you wish or have room for.
