Description: Stock P.14 Enfield ``Fat Boy``DP (SMA3219). This stock was made for one of the British Pattern 14 rifles made by the Eddystone Company, at Eddystone, Pennsylvania. All the stocks made for the Pattern 14 rifles had a metal plate inlet into the left side for a volley sight. It was designed to allow troops fire in unison out to 2600 yard when combined with special sight mounted on the left side of the receiver. Trench warfare and the machine gun ended the need for volley fire at long ranges and the sighting arm was removed from the stocks. This is a very handsome stock. it is made of walnut and has the distinctive ``Fat Boy` hand swell and the metal plate for volley fire, but not the small sighting arm that had to be set. The was on a DP rifle at one time but the cuts from DP deactivation have been expertly repaired and are very hard to see (see picture). There is an arsenal repair at the toe. These are almost impossible to find, it is just the thing to bring your P.14 back to original condition. We have other P.14 and M1917 parts for sale including receivers, stocks, barrels, triggers, bolts and more. Let us know if there are any parts that you need.
