Description: The old screw in caps, much preferred by many users as this design does not collect saw dust like the newer flip caps do. The only thing is some people chop them out by using poorly fitting screwdrivers in the slots on the front of the cap. The other thing that fails over time is the rubber seal as well. This cap fits the Fuel Tank on some of the smaller saws, like up to the 038 models but on the larger saws starting from the 044, this one goes onto the Oil Tank on those. Please check your parts list (IPL) if in doubt. This screw on cap fits most of the "0" series, like the 024, 026, 028, 044, 046, 064, 066,MS660, 084, 088, etc...If in doubt check your parts list / IPL. This cap comes with removable plastic "wiggle" retainer, however if you do not need that bit (if your saw has the slotted track in the tank) then you can remove that by siimply pulling it off. If you do that then you will be left with the small bulbous piece of plastic, which slots into the slotted trench that on the later saws retains the cap to the tank So this cap will fit both the older and new tanks.
