Description: Steinheil Munchen Auto-D-Quinon 55mm f1.9, for Edixa M42 mount, Serial No. 2217462, zebra body, vintage 1961, rare lens, in Excellent+++ condition. Generic front and rear caps will be included (caps not shown in photos). This lens' optics are a 6-elements-in-4-groups Gauss type configuration; representing the high-end of the Steinheil Quinon Series. Its M42 mount, much scarcer than the more commonly available exakta mount, makes this lens easily adaptable to a wide range of both film- and digital- SLR and digital-mirrorless cameras, by means of a simple mechanical adapter (adapter not included). I use this lens on my Canon EOS 5D-mkIII and 5D-mkIV cameras. This lens is very sharp wide-open, with brilliant true-to-life color rendition and beautiful creamy bokeh. Optics are clear and clean. No scratches, no fungus, no mold, no fog, no haze, no dust, no dirt. Lens coatings are pristine.Aperture ring is smooth and even, clicking distinctly into each stop detent.Blades are clean, dry and snappy. Manual/automatic switch operates perfectly. Focus ring is smooth and even, yet slightly-stiff but very usable. Body, paint finish and lettering are in excellent+++ condition, showing signs of only normal use of 63-year vintage lens; no damage, no scratches, no dings.
