Description: A colorful lithographic rendering of a photo showing the steamer Longfellow in Songo Lock, ME. A great depiction of the dresswear of the day as a touring passenger. The card was published for G.W. Morris of Portland, Maine and printed in Germany. Song Lock is the last surviving lock of the Cumberland and Oxford Canal on the Songo River at the northern end of Sebago Lake State Park in Naples, ME. These Private Mailing Cards were only published between 1898 and 1907.
