Coral reefs are found in the oceans around the world. The largest reef being the Great Barrier Reef. CARE OF CORAL Coral is soft and it has a hardness of 3.5 on the Mohr Scale. Clean with a soft clean cloth and rinse in warm soapy water. The soap must not contain chemicals. Never soak coral. Never clean with chemicals, jewelry cleaner or a ultrasonic cleaner. Never swim or shower with coral jewelry. Remove jewelry before doing household chores, and put on jewelry after applying make-up, perfume and hairspray.
