Description: Here is an absolutely gorgeous collectible copy of Absolutely Nothing To Get Alarmed About by Charles Wright. This is Wright’s third published work and has garnered praise from such luminaries as James Baldwin, Ishmael Reed, and Anthony Burgess. This copy is stunning. This is a first edition stated first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Farrar,Straus, and Giroux in 1973. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. The bright yellow and black textured cloth boards are spotless as is the maroon cloth spine. The white lettering on the spine is pristine in condition as shown. The spine ends and all four corners are in excellent condition also as shown. The original maroon top stain is still very evident on the upper page block also as shown in the photos provided. The dust jacket is exceptional. It is complete and has the original price of $6.95 present on the front flap. This jacket has little to no wear whatsoever but for some light fading to the yellow title on the spine but absolutely no fading anywhere else. There is also some very minor wrinkles to the spine ends as the posted images show. The beautiful cover illustration is by the great Milton Glaser. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
