Description: Here is a Starrett 300 mm to 600 mm outside micrometer set with carbide faces and measures to the .01 mm. This set has been used so you will find some minor scratches, scuffs and some other cosmetic imperfections but nothing that will effect their usefulness. As you can see in the last photo, the original owner scribed his/her favorite code onto each and every micrometer. I camouflaged them with black marker. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice barely used set of micrometers. So there is no surprises when you receive your tools, I try to tell you exactly what you are going to receive. Besides the inscriptions, there really is no major issues. This is a very nice used set of micrometers! Everything works perfectly, I guarantee it!! All of the thimbles moves easily without any hesitations. All of the thimbles lock, and the ratchets work just as designed. The carbide faces look as if they were mirrors. This is demonstrated by the reflection of the dollar that is not included. This set also comes with a complete set of standards that are also in excellent condition. They are all kept in a compartment that is located in the lid of the case. The black case has suffered some scratches, scuffs, and a few dings (mostly on the bottom) from protecting these tools. It opens and closes easily, locks shut nicely, and holds these tools securely. It is in very good condition and will continue to protect your micrometers for years to come. This is a very large case measuring approximately 33 1/2" long x 20 1/2" tall 18 1/2" wide.It would be hard to find a box to ship it in. To prevent any issues with safely shipping this large item, I made a protective shipping crate out of 1/4" OSB and some 3/4" x 2 1/2" pine. This set of micrometers and crate weigh more than 125 pounds. Without a two wheel dolly, it is very difficult to move alone.
