Description: This item up for bids would make a great addition to any Star Trek fan’s collection. It is from the hit television show: "Star Trek - Voyager & DS9” "BOOMERANG" PHASER PROP It is a solid resin (not a 3D print), hand painted replica made from the original molds that created the props used in the hit television series. It is a static replica, not a "hero" version. This means that there are no moving parts or cue lights. (The sound and phaser light effect were all added in post production for the show. In order to tell the effects people where to insert the phaser light and sound, a cue light was used in the hero prop.) Hand painted to accurately match the screen used shooting props for the on the hit shows which differed from the paint scheme seen in the movie “Star Trek: First Contact”. The Voyager/DS9 paint scheme has the intensity buttons painted light tan with a silver firing button as well as a green intensity bar. Makes a perfect addition to your uniform for Cosplay, Halloween, Convention or any other time! Phaser types: The smallest, Type I, is about the size of a keychain, carried when our people want to be inconspicuously armed. Although a potent weapon, the Type I phaser is only good for a few shots. The next size up is Type Il, carried when trouble is suspected. Larger phasers including the Type Il phaser rifle, can be made available, but are not used for normal Away Missions. (By comparison, the ship's main phaser banks are Type X.) This item is being listed as a prop replica as I’m uncertain as to whether or not it’s an actual screen used one or not.
