Description: Up for sale is a Nice overall condition, seldom-seen 3.8 INCH Barrel, that originated from a well cared-for Star Firestar M45 semiautomatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Condition is favorable overall: There are some light to moderate handling marks, some edge wear and light scratches present on the surfaces and finish of the exterior of the Barrel, from general use and operation. PLEASE NOTE: Some of the more notable marks are as follows: On the right side of the Barrel, just ahead of where the .45 ACP stamping is, there's a few notable scratches in that spot, which would not even be seen when the pistol is assembled ... and then there are some notable scratches on the Feed Ramp itself - although the markings on the feed ramp are cosmetically noticeable, keep in mind they would not affect function as the size of the scratches would have absolutely NO affect with a large .45 ACP round chambering into the back end of the Barrel. Beyond that, the Barrel is in very nice shape overall, especially considering its age of 30+ years! The Bore is shiny and bright and the rifling is decent. The Locking Lug is intact, and the inside edge of the Crown is unblemished. Please examine the extensive image set provided - preferably on a large-screen desktop or laptop monitor, in order to get zoomed in close for the best look of the condition of the Slide Assembly and its components. The M45 is a much larger pistol, and is also thicker than the smaller caliber single-stack models, - but narrower than the smaller-caliber double stack models. Slides, Hammers, Mag Releases, Safety Levers, Pins, Triggers & Trigger bars, etc are NOT cross-compatible between the M45 and the other models due to differences in size and geometry.. and obviously, Barrels are caliber specific to the pistol its intended to be used on.
