Description: Star brooch, handmade by Annie Sherburne, very talented British jewellery artist, with vintage and new glass stones. These vintage glass stones were made in Czechoslovakia in 1940's, brought by a Jewish merchant to London. Annie and her late-husband bought the entire lot at an auction and she is still using them together with some rare findings, natural materials such as shell fragments and unique components. This star brooch features 11 glass stones, one of which is iridescent, placed in the middle. The base is brass. Annie Sherburne's jewellery is all one-off designs, no two are the same.
