This is a very nice extra large 4 1/2 plane that is a type 10 that dates from just after the turn of the century. It is clean and nice. It was on the collectors workbench as a user, not a shelf, and so is a bit dusty. No rust, pitting, or other issues to mention. The Rosewood handle and knob are beautiful. The T logo cutter is proper and near full length and nice. It is a type 10 given the cutter logo and external frog adjuster. The plane dates from shortly after the turn of the century, during the height of Stanley putting out a quality finished and featured plane for workers of the day, and todays collectors and users.
