Description: Stanley Rule & Level 8 Inch Type 4 Adjustable Bevel Square. This weighs 4 oz unboxed. This is a Type 4 and was only made by Stanley from 1907 to 1909. Edmund A. Schade of New Britain, CT was granted Pat. No. 769,325 on Sept. 6, 1904 for improvements to the design of this tool. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The blade has some dots of light pitting on the solid area and some staining around the slot, but nothing too bad. The rosewood handle is good save for a few light dings. The locking screw works and was oiled. This ain't pristine, but it will get the job done. A collectible old Stanley bevel square for sure!
