Description: For sale is a vintage STANLEY #766 bench clamp on vise. Found this Summer at an Estate sale in the Gresham, Oregon area. The vise number # 766 was manufactured from 1911 to 1964. This one was made somewhere between 1920 and 1935. The SWEETHEART ERA. The vise has 3" jaws and you can open the jaws to a comfortable 3 1/2" with no problem. The vise has a great clamp shoe that holds great on a table or 2x4. The clamp will open to 2 1/8" for a thick table top. The vise show normal wear with nicks and marks on the jaws. The vise is made of cast iron and weighs about 9 lbs. This is a serious clamp vise and not a inferior import with poor quality metal. Use it for metal work-hobby items-jewelry-or general around the shop or house clamping. I have taken a number of pictures to show all points of interest. Thanks for looking.
