This cap measures just under 2-1/4" in width, and fits Stanley 5-1/2 planes of the older versions.This cap had a good bit of surface rust and was carefully resurfaced and then polished on a treadle lathe, bringing it to the condition shown in the photos.The cap was test fit on an older Stanley 5 1/2 plane (02,02,10 patent date). This cap is good looking, though it does have several pits on the lever and some mild pitting here and there as can be seen in the photos.Cap is in good working condition, was inspected, and is ready to install.
