Description: STAMP OF RUSSIA 2024 - Ilyinsky & Povorotny lighthouses. 3286-3287 (2 stamps) The Ilyinsky Lighthouse (the Feodosia lighthouse) is a lighthouse on St. Elijah Cape on the eastern coast of Crimea, not far from Feodosia. It was built in 1899. During the Great Patriotic War, the Lighthouse on St. Elijah Cape was destroyed in one of the numerous battles. In 1956, the building of the lighthouse on St. Elijah Cape was restored, and in this form, it has survived to this day. Today, it looks like a 15 m high white stone tower with windows arranged in three tiers. The Povorotny Lighthouse is a lighthouse on Povorotny Cape at the northern tip of Mayachny Island in Vyborg Bay. It was built in 1924. It is a 13 m high white octagonal tower with a red lantern structure. The Lighthouse light is flashing; depending on the sector, it flickers green, red or white light at a height of 18 m above sea level. The signal visibility range is from 2 miles (green) to 7 miles (white).
