Description: Stalatitic goethite fresh from the 60 Mine outside of Socorro. I generally do not clean these specimens because the red stain from the mud that covers them is attractive. The surface after cleaning with a spot remover gun is a duller version. The bright steel grey/brown metalic luster of the interior of the goethite is seen in the broken "ring" around the stalactities. A beautiful little specimen 1 1/2 inches at the base.
