Exhaust manifolds in the 1964-1970 Ford Mustang were designed to combine the exhaust gasses from each of the cylinders quickly with a manifold that was cost effective to produce. These 4-2-1 Tri-Y Style off-road headers are designed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow more freely from each 4 cylinder bank and combine in a more efficient manner. Tubing has been optimized for the 260/289/302 engines. This creates a reduction in cylinder backpressure and improved exhaust gas velocity. This frees up lost horsepower and torque. Collector Diameter: 2.5"Primary Tube Diameter: 1.5"Includes Gaskets and Hardware Please Note: Will not fit GT-40P heads or AOD transmission. Manual transmission cars require additional driver's side header clearance around the steering box. Fits manual transmissions using 10" or 10.5" clutch only. 1968-up bellhousings require driver's side header clearance.
