Description: Nouvelle Edition du Centenaire. This is a rare set of eight volumes of all the writings by and "final conversations" of St. Therese de Lisieux, meticulously annotated. The books, all in French, are a phenomenal feat of scholarship. The eight volumes are in near mint condition bound in faux leatherwith semi-soft covers. It is rare to find this collection in its original box. The box here is in sturdy condition but as can be seen in the photos the top ends have been reinforced with translucent tape. In 1992, the ‘New Centenary Edition’ in eight volumes (Éd. du Cerf) provided a wealth of documents that offered a more precise knowledge of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux’s life spirituality, and extensive writings. Full title: Edition Critique des Oeuvres Completes (Textes et Derniere Paroles) de Sainte Therese de L'Enfant-Jesus et de la Sainte Face. The eight volumes are comprised of: Manuscrits autobiographiques, Le premiere Histoire d'une Ame (1898), Correspondance generale, Poesies, Recreations pieuses -- Prieres, Derniere Entretiens, Dernieres Paroles (synopse). This work was undertaken by the Carmel of Lisieux in conjunction with leading experts of St. Therese. Grand prix du Cardinal Grente de l'Academie francaise pour l'edition critique. Won Grand Prize--the Cardinal Grente Award of the French Academy for annotated work
