After the main title ends, a 24 pp. supplement is bound in titled "The Conversion of a Mahometan to the Christian Religion: Described in a letter from Gaifer, In England, to Aly-Ben-Hayton, his friend in Turkey" which also includes a 6 pp. poem Bird of Paradise and final leaf is a Publishers Catalogue of Divinity Books. Period (19th century) quarter leather, marbled paper boards covers. Book opens to title page, no blanks. Rare book in any condition, also of note for the fascinating section devoted to the Islamic religion in 18th century Christian Europe. Leather spine well rubbed and scuffed, chipped at head and tail, corners slightly worn down., paper toned, small scattered age spotting throughout. Final couple pages with tears, no blanks at front or rear. Book remains well preserved and very attractive on the shelf. It displays a beautiful age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
