Description: For sale, a vintage silverplate (EPNS) trophy marked "Presented by Spratt's Patent Ltd." I've seen a similar trophy to this one online in the same design and also with the "Presented by Spratt's Patent Ltd." legend; however that one bore additional text identifying it as having been presented at the Cruft's Show in 1935. So my best guess is that this one was either a spare one intended for Cruft's that was never used (and therefore left unengraved), or possibly one handed out at a less-prestigious dog event where it wasn't considered economical to add the specifics to every trophy. But either way it's a nice item for a collector. Size: 13cm diameter (approx) x 8cm height. Weight: 220g.
