Description: Offer up Spode Blue Room Floral Sutherland Collection Luncheon Octagonal Plate. It came from a local estate sale and looks like new. The plate diameter is 9 1/2 in. There are fabric marks on the bottom side.Spode is an English brand of pottery and homewares produced in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Spode was founded in 1770, and was responsible for perfecting two important techniques that were crucial to the worldwide success of the English pottery industry in the 19th century. Botanical pattern was first introduced in about 1830 in a plain blue transfer print and was usually produced on Gadroon shape. In 1996 Greek was reintroduced by Spode as part of the Blue Room Collection as one of Sutherland Collection in octagonal shape. Please, do not see on yellow light, this is my camera problem, this plate is white as "paper white" without yellow.
