Description: Up for sale is a nice example of an interesting classic lens, the Spiratone Proxitel MC f/4 200mm Lens. A rebadge of the Sigma-XQ model of the same specs, this manual focus lens features Sigma's "Zone Focus" system, whereby a second focus ring at the front can be turned to achieve enhanced macro magnifications. When used at non-macro focal distances, it adds a soft-focus effect to images, which can be very useful in achieving an ethereal look for portraits. Lens is in excellent vintage condition with light handling wear, excellent mechanics, and glass free of scratches/haze/fungus. This lens features Sigma's Universal "YS" Interchangeable mount, with adapters available for most film and digital systems. In addition, it includes an adapter for the very versatile m42 screw mount, which can be used natively on older screw mount-SLR cameras by Pentax, Praktica, etc. and can also be stack adapted for use on most popular Film SLR, DSLR, and mirrorless formats with a glassless adapter (see chart below for digital compatibility).
