Description: This a section of Spinosaurus Spine. It measures 4.5 inches x 4.625 inches x 2.25 inches thick. Spine sections from Spinosaurus are rarely offered for sale. The dorsal (mid-body) vertebrae of Spinosaurus had spines up to 5.5 feet high. This gave the dinosaur its name. They can be recognized by their lens shaped cross-section, as shown in the main photo. The next to last photo show a pictorial restoration of the spine section if it were fully intact. The last photo shows an intact section of Spinosaurus spine (not for sale).
