Description: MEASURES: Height : 6,3 inch ; Width: 7,87 inch ; Depth: 5,51 inch ; Weight: 2,01 lbsCONDITIONS:They are EXCELLENT overall, just some small loss of enamel on the top edge, see photos. Item Description:Ceramic jug modeled by hand on a lathe, then glazed and decorated by hand with eighteenth-century style decorations, with two pairs of figures and trees, signed under the base by the Spiga Albissola manufacture. The jug can be dated to the last period of the manufacturer's artistic production between 1940 and 1950.Useful information for evaluating the object:In the last photos we have put historical notes of the manufacture and some of its numerous auction results, with two vases, one 25 cm high and priced at 800-1,000 euros, another 33 cm high and listed way back in 2001 at 1500-1750 euros, prices to which auction fees should then be added. Finally we put a photo of a jug very, very similar to ours, listed at 300-350 euros in a 2012 Cambi auction. All to give an idea of the value of the SPICA_SPIGA ALBISOLA ceramics.Final thoughts on the object: Both the decorations and the shape are in Renaissance style, a revival of the Albisola ceramics of the 1700s, something that other Albisola factories also used to do, such as "La Fenice" or even Giuseppe Mazzotti's MGA, which is why we mentioned them in the title. Great piece offered at an excellent price, take advantage of it.Information on the artist and/or manufacturer:The "S.P.I.C.A. (Società per l'Industria di Ceramiche Artistiche) - "Society for the Artistic Ceramics Industry" was founded as a cooperative, in Albisola Capo, in 1925 by the ceramist Ivos Pacetti and the artistic direction of Paolo (Polo) Rebroin. In 1938 the factory was taken over by Nicolò Ghersi, a former employee of the "la Fenice" factory, in partnership with Alfredo Vivado. The factory dedicated itself to a good level of artistic production, also creating some unique pieces, achieving interesting technical results especially in the decorative use of metalloids, and closed definitively in 1955.ENTER OUR EBAY SHOPPORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE AS, FOR EXAMPLE: ..OUR COMMERCIAL POLICYAware of operating in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the real value of the object, as often documented in our descriptions, and also lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online art sales platforms and antiques. At the same time, eBay reciprocates with the possibility of selling a high quantity of objects, so our commercial policy is to earn little for the single object, but sell a lot and therefore earn on the quantity. In fact, the asking price is always as low as possible, considering how much the item was paid for and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21% , according to the country in which the advertisement was made). For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LISTFor any additional information or clarification we are at your complete disposal, so contact us via message here on eBay. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTEDThe cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping cost, and everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost. OUR SHIPMENTS:..Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are allshipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
