"Poly-bagged Edition" "TORMENT" Part 1 of 5- This is a key issue from the 90's that marks the beginning of the reign of the 90's "Super-Star Artists". Probably the most notable, Todd McFarlane, got his own Spider-man title due to his popularity. A feat that would be achieved by a few other artists such as Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld. The "Poly-bagged Direct Editions" were limited to a run of 125,000.This item is in New condition. It has never been owned by anyone and comes from comic book store storage stock. No nicks or tears in the plastic. No staple tears or visible corner imperfections. Colors are vibrant.There is a common imperfection with these poly-bagged editions. The poly-bags had a sealed seem on the back. When these copies were shipped to stores, if copies of the book were shipped stacked on top of each other, the seam could cause a slightly noticeable indentation on the book below it. This copy does seem to have that indent imperfection but it is not that noticeable really in my opinion. (SEE PHOTOS)It has been kept in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment. If this was graded out I would anticipate a Near Mint grade. If you were to remove it from the bag and get the book heat pressed you could possibly get the seam indentation out. This might improve the grade of the book. Just an FYI, DO NOT try to get the book heat pressed with the poly-bag still on. The poly-bag will melt to the book.
