Description: SOLOMONS CAMPAIGN The Solomons Campaign is an historical simulation of the combined arms struggle between the United States and Japan for possession of the island of Guadalcanal during the summer and autumn of 1942. The Solomons Campaign is a strategic simulation, employing a simultaneous movement system, as well as land, air, and naval combat missions. The simultaneous movement of the opposing Japanese and American forces is a crucial element by which The Solomons Campaign is able to simulate the operational secrecy of strategic naval maneuvering. Can be played as solitaire or 1v1. The battle was a close one and so is the game. Both sides are transporting and landing troops at Guadacanal while fighting a naval/air battle at the same time. I spent many hours playing this game and am only selling it because I am as old as the hills and time to pass it on. It has always been one of my favorites. Sorry about the postage, but it is a big game with many parts and has to be shipped with careful preparation.
