Description: Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1945 Alfred Hitchcock Mystery SPELLBOUND, suggested by the novel "The House of Dr. Edwardes" by John Palmer and starring Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck, Michael Chekhov, Leo G. Carroll, Rhonda Fleming, John Emery, Norman Lloyd, Bill Goodwin, Steven Geray, Donald Curtis, Wallace Ford and Regis Toomey. A psychiatrist protects the identity of an amnesia patient accused of murder while attempting to recover his memory. Spellbound is classic Hitchcock, featuring stunning performances, an Academy Award®-winning score by Miklos Rozsa, and a captivating dream sequence by Surrealist icon Salvador DalĂ. The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold. Trade advertisements are colourful posters aimed at cinema managers, which were either slipped in, or part of, the weekly film trade journals which were available to them by subscription but were not sold to the general public. Most were designed to be pulled out, and some were attached by staples. Most have the date in tiny letters in one of the top corners.
